Thinking about coming to therapy is a big step, and I want you to know that it’s okay to feel unsure, nervous, or even overwhelmed. Reaching out for support takes courage — not because you’re broken, but because you’re choosing to care for yourself in a deeper way. Whether you're feeling stuck, hurting, or simply curious about your own patterns, therapy can be a space where you don’t have to carry it all alone. You don’t need to have the perfect words or know exactly what to say — just showing up is enough. I’m here to meet you where you are, with compassion, curiosity, and zero judgment.

About me

Greetings! My name is Alyssa Glaser (she/they) and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and AASECT Certified Sex Therapist. In my career as an LCSW, CST I have focused on helping and supporting adult individuals as a therapist. I have worked with a wide spectrum of populations as a therapist. I have worked in the field to provide crisis intervention to both individuals and families, collaborating closely with clients grappling with persistent mental health challenges, and providing therapy to justice-involved adults.

My passion lies in aiding individuals as they navigate various challenges or events in their lives. Whether it's wrestling with depression, managing anxiety, addressing sexual health problems, navigating relationships, dealing with challenging life experiences, maneuvering through significant life transitions, or any other issue; I am dedicated to helping clients every step of the way on their therapeutic journey. The privilege of being entrusted with the intimate details of my client’s lives is something I hold in utmost reverence. Creating an environment that fosters safety, non-judgmental, strengths-based, and a client-centered approach is a cornerstone of my practice. This foundation ensures that each client feels empowered to show up authentically and vulnerably, fostering a space where healing and growth can flourish.

I'm profoundly honored to be on this therapeutic journey alongside my clients, and I cherish every opportunity to empower them towards their holistic well-being. Together, we navigate the intricacies of life, striving for positive change, growth, and fulfillment.

My hobbies include reading, crafting, and playing video games. I feel centered when I am spending time with friends/family and my two cats.

I identify as queer and continue to discover more about myself.

Thank you for considering me as a potential therapist in your journey towards healing and self-discovery.

My Guiding Principles and Values

Compassion

Compassion is at the heart of my work as a therapist. I believe in meeting each person with warmth, gentleness, and non-judgment—especially in the moments they feel most vulnerable. Holding space with compassion means honoring your pain without rushing it, your growth without forcing it, and your story without rewriting it. It’s about walking alongside you with care, helping you navigate life’s challenges while fostering self-kindness, resilience, and healing.

Sex-Positive

Being sex-positive means honoring sexuality as a natural, valid, and important part of the human experience. In my practice, I create space for open, shame-free conversations about sex, pleasure, identity, and relationships. I approach these topics with curiosity, respect, and affirmation—recognizing that healthy sexuality looks different for everyone. Whether navigating challenges, exploring desires, or healing from shame, I’m here to support clients in connecting with their sexual selves in empowering and authentic ways.

Cultural Humility

Cultural humility is a lifelong commitment to self-reflection, learning, and honoring the richness of each client’s identity and lived experience. I approach therapy with curiosity rather than assumption, recognizing that every individual brings unique cultural, racial, spiritual, and social context into the room. I strive to create a space where all parts of you are welcomed and respected, and where power dynamics are acknowledged with care. My goal is to walk alongside clients with openness, respect, and a deep commitment to practicing inclusive and affirming care.

Authenticity

I believe that healing happens when we can be real—with ourselves and with each other. I bring my full, human self into the work, creating a space where clients feel safe to do the same. There’s no need to perform or be “perfect” here—just permission to be honest, vulnerable, and whole. I see therapy as a space for genuine connection, where your truth is honored and your voice deeply matters.

Collaboration

I view therapy as a collaborative process—one where your voice, insight, and intuition are central. You are the expert on your life, and my role is to walk beside you, offering support, perspective, and tools along the way. Together, we co-create a space where your goals, values, and experiences guide the work. Collaboration means building trust, making space for feedback, and adjusting the process to fit your unique needs—because healing works best when we do it together.

Comfort

Comfort is essential in the therapy space—I strive to create an environment where you can exhale, soften, and simply be. Whether you're sharing something tender or sitting in silence, you deserve to feel safe, seen, and supported. I pay close attention to emotional, physical, and relational comfort, knowing that true healing happens when we feel at ease in our bodies and in connection with others. Therapy doesn’t have to feel clinical or cold—it can feel warm, grounded, and human.
