Sex, trauma, and OCD therapy in Colorado

Nurturing growth and healing through compassionate therapy.

Life hasn’t unfolded the way you expected, leaving you questioning your identity, worth, and place in the world.

The weight of past experiences—pain, confusion, or guilt—can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to carry it alone. I see you. I understand how hard it can be to open up and confront these feelings.

In our work together, you’ll find a space where you are truly heard, supported, and met with compassion. With patience and care, we’ll navigate these emotions, helping you heal, reclaim your path, and uncover the strength and peace that have always been within you.

Healing is not about forgetting the past but learning how to move forward with it. Together, we will explore new ways to process your experiences, build self-compassion, and create a life that feels more aligned with who you are and where you want to be.

At Cultivating Compassion Therapy, my specialty lies in guiding individuals through the intricate and often challenging terrain of life experiences. In my practice, I draw from a diverse range of therapeutic modalities, including Sex Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Polyvagal approaches. This integrative approach allows me to address both the psychological and interpersonal aspects of a client. Whether it's navigating sexual behaviors, emotional regulation, life transitions, relationship challenges, different lived experiences, or seeking a path to healing, I'm dedicated to assisting clients in finding balance and fostering their personal growth.

Providing a dedicated time and space to safely explore life's nuances—sexuality, relationships, identity, emotions—serves as a catalyst for nurturing self-compassion. My goal is to cultivate an empathetic, inviting, and nurturing environment where your personal growth and self-improvement can truly flourish.

Embracing inclusivity is foundational to my practice. Every facet of who you are—your race, gender identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic background, age, body shape, size, and abilities—is not only recognized but celebrated. You're encouraged to authentically present yourself, cultivating growth in an environment free from judgment or shame.

Embarking on a therapeutic journey is a courageous step toward holistic well-being. My practice is a judgment-free zone where your concerns are met with understanding, and your goals become milestones in a journey toward a more satisfying and enriching life. If you're ready to explore, understand, and revitalize yourself, I'm here to guide you every step of the way.

Remember, amidst this journey, we all benefit from a little extra kindness—yourself included!

Hi, I am Alyssa

My approach is client-centered, strengths-based, and rooted in creating a safe, non-judgmental space where each person’s story is honored. I integrate sex therapy, trauma-informed care, and cognitive-based therapies to support healing on emotional, relational, mental, and somatic levels. I believe in working holistically—tending to the whole person, not just the problem—while walking alongside clients as they make meaning of their experiences and move toward growth. As an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist, I focus on creating a sex postive enviroment, where your sexuality is celebrated rather than shamed.

I’m deeply honored to do this work and hold the trust my clients place in me with great care.

You deserve to be seen and heard.
